The food hamper distribution at Purpose Society has been ongoing since 2020. First, there were the challenges of COVID-19 impacting people’s employment status, and now the rising cost of living in Metro Vancouver is becoming a challenge for many.
There is also a Friday Food Market where we distribute food to the 
community. There has been such a high demand for food, there is a waitlist.
The Purpose Society hosts the Friday food market for food insecure seniors, new immigrants and unhomed individuals. The market features a variety of donated fruits, vegetables and staple items, such as rice. We greatly appreciate the support of our donors and community partners to help bring food to people in need.
