Position:                     Senior Early Childhood Educator – Full-Time

Location:                    Current Assignment: Yukon Crescent Children’s Centre

2123 Yukon Crescent, Burnaby

 Salary:                        $30.27/hour     (includes $6.00 ECE Wage Enhancement)

 Hours of Work:         Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

 

Qualifications:

• Current ECE and Infant & Toddler License to practice
• Current First Aid and CPR for Children Certificate
• Required criminal record search
• Doctor’s note attesting candidate is fit to work with young children

 

Requirements:          

1. Ability to plan and implement an open-ended, age-appropriate curriculum
2. Two to three years current work experience in an early childhood environment
3. Previous supervisory experience is preferred
4. Current knowledge of Child Care Licensing Regulations
5. Ability to maintain a safe and healthy environment
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
7. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
8. Ability to work with children with challenging behaviour an asset

 

Specifications:            Six-month probation/trial period
